You may have had loops and playlists in the old version of the app. When you updated to the new version, the first thing the app did was attempt to migrate all of your loops into the new "ecosystem". After your update be sure that you "Sign In" from the top left of the BROWSE page and/or tap the "Cloud Sync" icon in the top left of the MY LOOPS page. If your migration was successful, that should reestablish your loops.
If your old data was corrupted, the migration would not have succeeded, and your loops would not move over to the new version.
